Apple’s Pro Formula: Now Smarter

The iPhone 18 Pro pushes Apple’s flagship deeper into performance, photography and on-device intelligence.

The A20 Pro chip, upgraded thermal system, longer battery life and new Apple-designed connectivity hardware give the phone meaningful upgrades throughout, while iOS 27 and Siri AI place more of Apple Intelligence directly into everyday use.

The Upgrades You’ll Feel Every Day

Apple spreads this year’s biggest upgrades across performance, endurance, intelligence and connectivity. Many of the changes happen beneath the surface, giving the iPhone 18 Pro more room for demanding apps, gaming, AI workloads and everyday use.

A20 Pro and Next-Generation Cooling
Built on a 2-nanometer process, the A20 Pro introduces a 6-core CPU, 7-core GPU and Dual 16-core Neural Engine. New M-series-inspired packaging connects directly to a larger vapor chamber, helping sustain demanding performance for longer periods.

Longer Battery Life and Faster Charging
Apple rates the iPhone 18 Pro for up to 36 hours of video playback. Compatible wired charging can reach 50 percent in around 15 minutes, while MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging support speeds up to 25W.

Siri AI and Apple Intelligence
iOS 27 brings Apple’s next generation of Apple Intelligence, led by Siri AI. The upgraded assistant is designed for more natural conversation and deeper integration across apps, with the A20 Pro providing substantially more on-device AI processing power.

Apple Takes Over the Connections
The iPhone 18 Pro adds Apple’s C2 cellular modem alongside the N1 wireless chip. The combination handles 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread, with C2 designed to improve cellular reliability, upload performance and power efficiency.

Apple Gives Every Lens More to Do

Apple gives every rear camera on the iPhone 18 Pro a 48MP sensor, creating a more consistent system across standard, ultra-wide and telephoto shooting. The headline addition is a variable-aperture Main camera, joined by a dedicated 4x telephoto and an upgraded 18MP Center Stage camera on the front.

48MP Fusion Main
The 24 mm Main camera introduces a variable aperture with ƒ/1.48, ƒ/1.8, ƒ/2.8 and ƒ/4.0 settings, giving photographers greater control over light and depth. It also provides an optical-quality 2x view from the same sensor.

48MP Fusion Ultra Wide
The 13 mm Ultra Wide provides a 120-degree field of view for landscapes, architecture, groups and close-range compositions. Its 48MP sensor can capture both 24MP and full-resolution 48MP images.

48MP Fusion Telephoto
The dedicated telephoto delivers a 100 mm equivalent 4x optical view using a tetraprism design. Apple pairs it with autofocus and 3D sensor-shift optical image stabilization to keep longer-range shots steady and detailed.

18MP Center Stage Front Camera
The 18MP front camera uses Center Stage to automatically follow and frame subjects, including groups entering the shot. It expands the selfie camera beyond still photography, with subject tracking designed for video calls and recording as well.

A More Serious Flagship

The iPhone 18 Pro concentrates its biggest advances in areas that affect how the phone performs over time: processing power, thermal management, battery life, AI and connectivity.

The upgraded camera system adds another major reason to consider it, particularly for photographers and video creators. With storage now reaching 2TB and a starting point of 256GB, Apple has built the 18 Pro around increasingly demanding mobile workloads as much as everyday smartphone use.
