Redesigned and Retuned

The Beats Studio Pro represents Beats’ new flagship over-ear model, designed to replace the long-running Studio3 and reintroduce the brand in the premium noise-cancelling category. It blends the company’s signature style with modern features aimed at both Apple and Android users.

The design and build quality are sleeker and more understated than past Beats models, with smoother lines, softer ear cushions, and a foldable frame for portability. Materials feel more solid, the clamping force is balanced for better comfort, and the headband uses reinforced joints for durability.

Sound quality has been completely overhauled with new 40 mm custom drivers tuned for a more balanced signature. The bass remains deep but is less boomy, mids are clearer, and highs more detailed compared to the Studio3. Lossless audio support via USB-C wired connection gives audiophiles a higher-quality option.

Active Noise Cancelling now uses an updated algorithm and improved microphones to block more external noise. Transparency mode lets outside sounds in without removing the headphones, and the switch between ANC and Transparency is seamless.

Connectivity, Endurance & Wearability

The Studio Pro offer flexible connection options, including Bluetooth with extended range, a 3.5 mm analog input, and a USB-C port that doubles as both charging and lossless audio input.

They also include three built-in sound profiles when using USB-C, and they’re designed to work seamlessly with both Apple and Android devices, offering one-touch pairing and device-tracking features depending on the platform.

Battery life reaches up to 40 hours with noise cancelling turned off, or about 24 hours with ANC or Transparency active. Fast charging gives around four hours of playback from just a ten-minute top-up, which helps reduce downtime when the battery runs low.

Comfort is improved with UltraPlush over-ear cushions and a more balanced clamping force than earlier models. The fit is secure yet lighter, and while the weight is reasonable for over-ears, extended listening sessions may still feel snug for larger heads. The lack of an official water-resistance rating may be a drawback for use in very humid conditions.

A Balanced and Premium Reboot for Beats

The Beats Studio Pro mark a significant evolution for the brand, moving beyond flashy looks to deliver a more mature, balanced, and versatile set of over-ear headphones.

With redesigned drivers, stronger noise cancelling, flexible connectivity, and long battery life, they’re a clear step up from the Studio3 and show that Beats can compete directly with established premium players. While they still command a high price and lack some niche features like water resistance, the Studio Pro feel like the most complete over-ear Beats experience yet.
