UNOVE’s Rise in K-Beauty

Launched in South Korea in 2021 by Wyatt Corporation, UNOVE is a premium haircare brand specializing in treatments for damaged, dry and chemically processed hair. Wyatt also operates Dr.FORHAIR, a scalp-focused brand, while UNOVE concentrates on restoring softness, shine and manageability to the hair itself.

UNOVE gained considerable popularity through South Korea’s Olive Young beauty retailer, particularly with its Deep Damage Treatment EX. Its success has supported international expansion into Japan, North America and other markets, establishing the brand as a growing name in Korean haircare.

UNOVE’s Approach to Hair Damage

UNOVE’s formulas emphasize proteins, amino acids and conditioning ingredients designed to improve the appearance and feel of damaged hair. Its proprietary DeepCore Bond Technology is marketed as a treatment system that helps reinforce weakened strands, smooth rough cuticles and improve hair texture. Ingredients such as hydrolyzed keratin, silk proteins and collagen feature prominently across its treatment products.

The brand also emphasizes moisture retention, frizz control and protection against damage associated with heat styling and chemical treatments. Its approach reflects the growing popularity of ingredient-focused Korean haircare, although the effectiveness of individual formulas depends on hair type, condition and product use.

The Deep Damage Collection

UNOVE’s best-known product, Deep Damage Treatment EX, is an intensive rinse-out conditioning treatment formulated to improve softness, shine and manageability. Its rich texture and protein-focused formula have made it particularly popular among consumers dealing with dryness, frizz and damage from coloring or heat styling.

The broader Deep Damage range includes shampoos, hair oils, leave-in treatments and detangling sprays. Products such as Silk Hair Oil and the Detangling Heat Protectant Spray address everyday styling concerns, while the shampoo and intensive treatments form the foundation of the brand’s haircare routine.

Fragrance, Beauty and the UNOVE Aesthetic

UNOVE has expanded beyond traditional hair treatments into fragrance-focused beauty products, including body lotions, hand creams and perfumes. Scent plays an important role throughout the collection, with products designed to make daily haircare feel more like a personal beauty ritual.

The brand’s visual identity features minimalist packaging, soft colors and contemporary product photography, giving its collections a recognizable appearance. This attention to presentation has helped UNOVE establish a presence in the competitive K-beauty market, where product performance, fragrance and design all influence purchasing decisions.
