Major New Waterpark from Norwegian Cruise Line

Great Tides Waterpark is a waterpark developed by Norwegian Cruise Line on Great Stirrup Cay, its private island in The Bahamas. Opened on September 4, 2026, the 5.6-acre (2.3-hectare) attraction features 19 waterslides, cliff jumps, a winding river, and dedicated play areas for younger children.

The park is divided into four main zones, offering a range of experiences from high-speed thrills to family activities and relaxation. Swim-up bars, casual dining, private cabanas, and tropical landscaping contribute to its resort atmosphere.

Admission requires a separate day pass, available to Norwegian Cruise Line passengers visiting Great Stirrup Cay. The waterpark gives guests another major activity to enjoy during their island stop, with options for different ages and interests.

Great Tides Waterpark is part of Norwegian Cruise Line’s extensive redevelopment of Great Stirrup Cay, a 270-acre (109-hectare) private island the company has owned since 1977. The expansion has introduced new facilities designed to accommodate more visitors and provide a wider range of shore experiences.

Among the most significant additions are a multi-ship pier, eliminating the need for tender boats, and Great Life Lagoon, a 28,000-square-foot (2,601-square-meter) heated pool with swim-up bars and private cabanas. Families also have access to Splash Harbor, a complimentary children’s splash area.

Other improvements include an island-wide tram service, a new arrival plaza, and Vibe Shore Club, an adults-only retreat with premium amenities. The development strengthens Great Stirrup Cay’s position as a major destination within NCL’s Caribbean itineraries, giving passengers greater flexibility in how they spend their time ashore.
