Get Up takes NewJeans further from the maximalist norms of K-pop and toward a minimal, air-spaced electronic aesthetic. Instead of towering choruses and stacked vocals, the record relies on clipped hooks, soft vocal blends, and percussive intimacy that places atmosphere ahead of spectacle.

The EP treats rhythm as character. UK garage inflections, house-leaning loops, and two-step cadences drive songs without ever erupting into the kind of drop-based release that defines mainstream dance pop.
